Tasting Notes
Ruby red in colour, this wine shows perfumed notes of red fruit, candied apples and undertones of oaky spice. The palate is soft, elegant and is accompanied by flavours of cassis and plums leading to a wine with a vibrancy and lingering finish.
Winemaker’s Notes
All the grapes are hand-harvested, sorted and whole berries are fermented in stainless steel tanks. The different grape varieties were fermented separately with extended maceration on skins after fermentation. Only the best barrels were selected for this wine. The wine was aged for 12 months in 35 % new 300L French oak barrels.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with roast leg of lamb, cheese ana preserves.
